If you haven't been to Works before the event is a bit hard to describe. It's best described as an "arts happening", though this doesn't really give a very exact picture. Practically-speaking, on this night we open up the church for artists of various stripes to display and sell their works. We also host spoken word artists and musicians on the main stage to complement the visual art. We consider this event a gift to the arts community of Portland, providing them with a free venue to display their creative endeavors.
